Tennis in the United States is played on three kinds of places: public park courts run by a city or county, member clubs and country clubs with their own pros and leagues, and commercial tennis centers that sell court time by the hour. Public courts are usually free and first come, first served, with a posted limit (often 60-90 minutes when others are waiting); busier cities run online reservation systems with a small fee and a permit for the season. Indoor courts are rented by the hour and booked days ahead in winter. Most facilities are hard courts; clay is common in the Southeast and at private clubs, and grass is rare. Lights extend play into the evening at many parks, sometimes with a coin or app-operated switch.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 4:30 amβ11 pm. Enjoyed 4th BBQ as a guest with a Lakeshore member. Highlight to our Chicago trips are the gym's events

Interactions with Lakeshore Fitness in Lincoln Park have been so incredibly poor from a membership/customer service perspective. Membership fee structure is terrible for parents with young kids, and the team is so slow, rude, and unresponsive to very valid questions about fee structure, membership pausing, and classes. 100% decided not to sign the kids up for classes here after this experience. If the customer service is this poor for signing up, I can't imagine what membership experience looks like once signed up.

I came here for the rooftop restaurant Harvest. I had low expectations for the food. Everything we had was really good. The truffle fries were crispy, pancakes were good, the salmon bowl and burrata salad were perfect for a hot day. The salmon was perfectly cooked. The view on the rooftop is lovely and the service was great. Definitely don't miss out on the rooftop restaurant/bar.

I absolutely love Lakeshore! Iβm so glad I found this spot. PLEASE ignore the low ratings from some people. Folks donβt l understand what it takes to run an enormous club like this while also keeping the prices competitive. Iβm sorry β¦ but NOT sorry. With such amazing deals (ie monthly membership price + all thatβs included) you are NOT going to find anything better. Go to Midtown and then complain about how much youβre paying there (at least $200 more) and how crowded it is or any other complain. Iβve been there, experienced it. Over it. Let me explain more β¦ πΎπ TENNIS and racquet sports are at the forefront of this spot. They have amazing courts, great/talented coaches, and tons of opportunities to play. Classes, drop-ins, private lessons, mixers, teamsβ¦ seriously everything! Huge shout out to Coaches Brian, Pedro, and Kristina! β ππ½ββοΈπ€ΈπΎββοΈ GYM facilities are great. There are multiple floors of equipment and tons of hidden rooms with MORE equipment. Oftentimes, theyβre empty! Any gym in Chicago is going to be crowded during peak times (7-9a and 5-7p). They also offer amazing classes, a wide array of them, that are INCLUDED! β πΏπ§Ήπ§Ό This is one of the CLEANEST gyms Iβve ever been

I just finished my two week trial membership and here's what I like about my individual plus kids membership: *FREE 2 hour childcare *Variety of classes - Pilates Mat with Zineb and Fuerzo Kickboxing with Marcelo have been my favorites! *Special programming! Kids are in a free weekly dance class and they had a reptile show where we could touch the animals. Negatives: *Parking is a challenge despite them having two parking lots. I had to park on Fullerton this morning around 9AM. *Family pool access is limited on weekends as 3/4 of pool is used for lessons in the morning. Definitely worth the investment for the childcare alone!
